Research

The Department of Applied Nutritional Psychology at the Institute of Nutritional Medicine conducts interdisciplinary research into human eating behavior. Research focuses on topics in the field of public health nutrition, such as early childhood and childhood nutrition education or studies on nutrition and poverty, as well as applied nutritional psychology with a focus on the effect of different stimuli on eating behavior or the perception of different foods and stimuli. Questions to be answered by the department include: “What do people eat?”, “Why do people eat or consume these foods in the first place? ” and “How can we contribute to preventive nutritional behavior in humans?”.
