Wishes for outpatient support services for lifestyle modification and weight management

The project aims to gain a better understanding of the experiences and wishes of people who want to reduce their weight in the long term and successfully maintain it.

The data collected will be used for participatory health services research by examining the wishes of people with overweight or obesity in terms of content (e.g. aspects of diet, exercise, behavioral change and medical care) and methodological support (e.g. various counseling methods). Wishes for the overall conditions of corresponding offers (e.g. duration, on-site or digital implementation) were also recorded. Recruitment took place between May and November 2024 in various healthcare facilities and on social media.
