Welcome to the website of the Department of Nutritional Psychology (180d)

Our department covers aspects on Nutritional Psychology and Public Health Nutrition in both research and teaching.

Nutritional psychology entails all aspects of the diet-mental health relationship examining the relationship between our dietary intake and our psychological, behavioral, cognitive, sensory-perceptual, interoceptive and psychosocial processes, functions and experiences.

Public Health Nutrition focuses its research on food consumption and dietary patterns in population groups and on understanding its determinants and relationships to all areas of health. It examines ways to prevent diseases, prolong and promote health and well-being using dietary approaches.
